youphonica is a site where musicians can upload video and audio of previous concerts as well as livestream their concerts to their fans. The aim of youphonica is to be a platform open to as many musicians as possible and allow them to easily create an account and have another way to generate income from their music. youphonica also aims to help and promote small/up and coming artists and have the site focus on finding a way of bringing music to as many people as possible.
"You'd think being a musician in the modern world would be easy, right? you don't need a label, you can easily spread your music across the world online. However, it's not that simple. they can no longer rely on cd/record sales and instead rely on streaming platforms which pay out very little, which I know from personal experience. This means musicians rely on touring, which can also be very expensive. I want the platform to be able to help musicians being able to increase their potential earnings from live shows. I think it's also a nice alternative for those who can't be there in person, especially for smaller artists that can't afford to do world tours, it's nice for their fans to have another way of seeing them live while still supporting them financially." - Jacob Shepherd CEO and Founder of youphonica
